Intellectual and adaptive functioning evaluations and comprehensive behavioral assessments are services offered at Hazelwood. Based on those assessments, a range of interventions are developed ranging from support plans which provide the individual’s basic needs to extensive and detailed positive behavior support plans designed to teach replacement behaviors and bypass challenging behaviors. As members of the interdisciplinary teams at Hazelwood, behavioral health professionals collaborate to craft treatment plans to prepare Hazelwood residents to live successfully in a less restrictive environment in the community.
